2024.06.05 new moon in taurus

[00:00:00] Have you ever heard in perhaps a yoga nidra meditation? Maybe you haven't heard of this before? Maybe you've never heard of yoga nidra, but have you ever heard in different guided meditation sometimes they'll ask you to cultivate an inner resource. And so if you've heard of that, maybe you haven't heard of that. Um, that's really the vibe of this new moon.
[00:00:23] And so let's talk about what that is. Um, because also, like I have heard of that and it didn't make a whole lot of sense to me. So whether you've heard of it or not, Whether it makes sense or not. Hopefully by the end of this episode, you will have an embodied understanding of what an inner resource is, how it relates to this upcoming new moon on Thursday, June 6th, 2024, that's in Siberia, tourists, and of course yoga practices and journal prompts to help you actually cultivate that. In a resource and what that means and why you should do it. What it means astrologically.
[00:01:00] So here we are. Welcome to the Yogi skips podcast. I'm your host. Rosemary Holbrook. I'm a Vedic Siberian, astrologer, meaning I use the Vedic system of astrology, which incorporates tools like which we'll talk about in this episode. Doshas shot Balah there's like all these other techniques that Vedic astrology has that maybe if you're newer to astrology, you just heard of. Astrology, there are other, there's another system called Western astrology that if you're in a Western country likely, that's what you know of as just astrology.
[00:01:38] It's got the circle chart. Um, And there's a lot more differences, but basically there's two different systems. There's two different Zodiacs and that's an over-simplification because even among. Western astrology. There's different systems, but. I'm not an expert in that. So I'll leave it at that. And the Siberian Zodiac is just. More astronomically accurate.
[00:02:03] So it's not perfectly astronomically accurate. It's a little bit off. I did a whole podcast episode about it on. Um, the science of light, which is my old podcast that. I haven't been putting out episodes on in a while, but it's more evergreen content. So here. I'm giving you a weekly astrology update to a related to something that's pertinent right now on the science of light.
[00:02:27] It's all stuff that, um, you could kind of listen to whenever and one of them episode 11. So you'd have to scroll back pretty far. Um, I covered the different Zodiacs and. So maybe you've heard of that before when people are like, Ooh, astrology is not even accurate. One of the really nice things about Vedic astrology is that most Vedic astrologers, there are Vedic astrologers that use the tropical Zodiac. Um, but most Vedic astrologers use the site of Ariel's. Zodiac and it's more astronomically accurate, and that feels really nice.
[00:02:56] So if you're new, hopefully that helps clarify some things because I still get random YouTube comments that are like, Ooh, this new, moon's not in tourists, it's in whatever they're saying it is in. Under the tropical Zodiac. So if you're newer to astrology, maybe you only get your information from like other people on the internet.
[00:03:18] Right. And so that's fine. So hopefully if you stick around long enough, I'll try to teach you like where and how to find your own information. So that you can be informed to make your own choices. So. That's the vibe. Let's talk about it. There's a new moon coming up. The new moon and full moon episodes are always my favorite ones.
[00:03:35] So we're going to talk about the astrology of this new moon what's happening. Around it because it's a lot of stuff. And then we always finish with yoga practices and journal prompts. To help you embody the energy, I guess, would be a good way to put that. And since this is a very embodiment related new moon, and I'll say more about why in a moment. It also feels like a good time to bring up what embodiment even means because I had, okay.
[00:04:05] So I was working with like a. In like a marketing group coaching program because. I just like astrology. I just want to teach yoga. Like, but turns out to do these things. You also have to learn marketing. And so I was doing the same. And. I was working on my marketing language in this. Coach was like, um, Not in the yoga industry.
[00:04:32] And she was like, I even have an embodiment coach and I don't have a good understanding of, of what that even means. And. So maybe you don't either. Maybe you do, maybe you don't, but when I say embodiment, What I'm talking about is. When I say something. Do you have maybe like an, when I say embodied understanding, do you just like know in your being what that means without having to have this big cognitive. Thought process about it to arrive at the meaning.
[00:05:09] So that's what I mean when I'm saying embodied, understanding, but then. To give a little background. Part of the reason why I even do this, this podcast, the Yogi scopes podcasts, pairing astrology with yoga is because.
[00:05:24] I have learned that the key to healing from whatever trauma, stress, whatever, anything we all need healing.
[00:05:34] We all have stuff to heal from the key to it is not only having emotional awareness. But also body awareness. And so. Astrology helps facilitate that emotional awareness. Yoga helps facilitate that body awareness. And I find that just studying astrology. By itself can leave many of us in analysis paralysis.
[00:05:58] What I'm talking about, like these big cognitive loops. Um, instead of bringing it down into the body and, and having this intuition, this, this embodied sense of what is right for us or how we're experiencing our life and it's all related. Okay. So when I say. Embodied. I mean, like, Does. Do your insides match your outsides kind of thing.
[00:06:25] Like. When I say something, do you have this deep knowing that's deeper than like a thought process deeper than just your mental, um, About whatever it is I'm talking about. So. Hopefully that makes sense. And the reason. That's extra related right now is because, as I was saying, this new moon is inside the cereal. Taurus.
[00:06:48] And so we'll explore that. We'll explore the archetypes of tourists. We'll also explore the Arkestra archetypes of the knock shot. SRE. Sarah Rahini where this new moon is happening. But first, let me just get a little bit more clear. The new moon is tomorrow as I'm recording this Thursday. June 6th at 8:37 AM. And so it's okay.
[00:07:13] If your new moon practice happens like earlier than that later than that. So really overnight tonight. So that's the Eastern time. 8:37 AM. Eastern time. For the moment. That the moon and sun reached the exact same degree down to the second in the sky. Um,
[00:07:37] And so it doesn't really matter because the new moon is already, or it's already in its new phase.
[00:07:43] The F the phases of the moon lasts about three days. And so the time that I give you. And probably most astrologers, they might have different processes. I don't know, but the way that I do it, the time that I tell you, the time that I put in the Yogi scopes planner. Is, um, The moment where they reach the exact same. Degree minute.
[00:08:05] And I even, I, I think the next one is called seconds. I could be wrong about that on might just be making that up, but there's like three numbers with colons in between them. So anyway, this one is happening at. 22 degrees and five minutes of tourists of Siberia, tourists. And so that doesn't really matter.
[00:08:24] I've had students ask me before, like, what are the degrees matter for? And they don't really matter for me. It's more about seeing their relationship to other planets. So that helps. Um, like for example, at this new moon, like I mentioned, The moon and sun will, can join at 22 degrees and five minutes of Taurus, which is in Rahini Knox Yatra. Tra Venus at that moment, we'll be at 22 degrees and 36 minutes.
[00:08:53] So at the same degree as the sun and the moon. Um, and so let's talk about that. Venus rules Taurus. Which is part of how we get the meaning of tourists. When you're looking at the meaning of signs of, of anything. We want to look at all the things that kind of feed into that. And one of those things is the planetary ruler.
[00:09:13] Another one of those things is what element is the sign? So this Taurus is an earth sign. It's ruled by Venus. So just considering those two. Properties, I guess you could call them of tourists. That already tells us that Taurus is this earthy sign. It is Venus is the planet of relationships of luxury of wealth.
[00:09:36] So finances, right. And when you bring an earth energy to the venous qualities, Um, You get things like sensuality. Um, tangible luxury, right? Like there's, I guess you could call it like intangible luxury where it's just more like a feeling of luxury. Taurus is like this. Um, It could be like opulent could be one way to describe it because of those venous qualities.
[00:10:11] But also like, if you think about like, if you ever go out in nature and like a really beautiful garden, And that kind of vibe it's, it's earthy, but it's also beautiful and, and opulent in that way. That's a really. Tourist vibe. And then, so that's part of the vibe, another. Thing to consider about tourists, knowing those two properties and how they sort of like, how do we understand what that means in our life is like, What is your foundation?
[00:10:42] This earthy energy, your foundation. Relating to sensuality relating to, um, finances, right? So that will factor into some of our journal prompts that we have going on. So just some other things that tourists represents or brings up is also your family of origin. So. Um, Like your early childhood, like what was, what, especially at this moon new moon, what I would like you to consider. Is what, how did your family of origin. And your early childhood contribute to your values or your beliefs around luxury around wealth. And in that, how did your family of origin or your upbringing contribute to your money stories?
[00:11:44] Like, um, people talk about like an abundance mindset versus like a scarcity mindset. So that could be one of the, one of the ways you're considering it. Another could be. Um, You know, do you. I like that abundance versus scarcity mindset just feels a little bit. Like. Cerebral to me a little bit, not tangible, if that makes sense.
[00:12:07] So it's like, do you have a spending problem? Do you happen to hoard money, right. And never spend, even when you totally could. Right? Like where do you fall on that spectrum? That's a tourist. Consideration. And how do finances contribute to, or detract from your feelings of stability in life? Do you always feel. Unstable. Related to money related to finances or do finances. Make you feel stable?
[00:12:44] Is that where you find your sense of stability? So those are all tourists concerns. Then another. Tourist concern is. Diet. So. Um,
[00:12:58] Do you eat? Out of central pleasure. Or something else, right. And then maybe also, how does your family of origin contribute to that? Way that you approach nourishment. Especially in food, but Norris mint and in whatever way that you want to interpret that. So that's the vibe of tourists. Right. And then we can get even more granular into the vibe of this new moon. Um, by examining the knock shot, SRE. And so just before I get into the Knox Yatra, just cause I always like to be clear because I think it helps, it helps if you're brand new to hear this, it also helps if you're not brand new to be reminded of the. Asher logical reasons why I'm saying anything that I'm saying.
[00:13:51] Right. So a new moon is when the moon and the sun exactly can join together. Like I was saying earlier, the moment, 8:37 AM Eastern time. On Thursday, June 6th is when the moon and sun come to the exact same degree. And that's how we define the peak of the new moon. So. The moon will have already been in tourist before that. Um, with the sun, right?
[00:14:15] So, and the moon will already be in its new phase. Before that, um, but that's the moment where they exactly come together. So a little bit before, a little bit after. It's still the new moon in Taurus and Rahini right. But that's like the peak that's like the middle is that. Moment. They come to the exact same degree. And so we like to say set intentions at the new moon. Right.
[00:14:39] So why? Because the new moon is. The dark moon, right? It's the, the bottom of the cycle of energy. It's I like to compare the moon cycle to the breath. And so, and same with the year actually, like, so the breath is a really good example of the expansion and contraction cycle that the moon goes through, that the sun goes through based on, um, Where you are in the year.
[00:15:08] So we're approaching the summer solstice. And there's actually a full moon on the summer solstice, which is fun. Um, And so if you're local to the Asheville area and want to join me for an in-person mini retreat on international yoga day, the summer solstice also. The next full moon. June 21st, five 30 to eight 30.
[00:15:28] I think I said nine 30 on the last podcast, but it is three hours. It's five 30 to eight 30. Uh, nine 30 is like past my bedtime anyway, um, even eight 30 is getting late, but that's when it would work for like a lot of folks that come after work and stuff. So five 30 to 8:30 PM, Friday. June 21st. It's a full moon.
[00:15:44] It's international yoga day. It's the summer solstice. Um, so that the summer solstice, as well as the, uh, full moon is like the peak of energy. So the summer solstice is the longest day of the year. You could think of it as like the top of the inhale. The peak of energy. Right. And then from there, You're beginning the exhale you're. Beginning the waning moon phase, your beginning of the contraction of the exhale, the releasing, right, or from the summer solstice, the days are only getting shorter from there all the way until the winter solstice.
[00:16:20] And so this, with the new moon, It's. In comparison to the breath. It's like the bottom of the exhale. Right. It's when all the energy has been drained out. It's the, when the moon reaches its darkest. And so it marks the beginning of. The expansion cycle. So what do you do at the new moon? You say, how do I really want to focus my attention and awareness? On this expansion cycle.
[00:16:49] What do I want to expand for either the next two weeks until the full moon? Or maybe the next four weeks until the next new moon or at this one in particular, I would really encourage you to consider. Ah, this is a tough one the next year, because Jupiter is here in tourists with the new moon. Or even if you want to go beyond that, The next eight years, because Uranus isn't tourists also with the new moon.
[00:17:17] And so I did separate episodes about both of those things. Jupiter and tourists and Uranus and Taurus. And so this is a big deal. I said on, on Monday in the moon day practice. Um,
[00:17:31] That is, you can sign up for those things. If you go to Dot com slash classes. Um, It feels big. It feels. Bigger than any other new moon, because we just had these two big, big long-term cycles start in tourists where the new moon is happening. Jupiter moved there in may. Which was only a month ago. Right? So in the scheme of a year, that's not very long.
[00:17:55] And then Uranus move there like five days before the new moon Uranus moved there. June 1st. And we'll be there for like seven, eight years. Uh, like it'll, it'll move on and then read your grade back towards the end of that. Like seven, seven and a half years from now. Um, in 2031. So. Um, I did a whole episode about both of those things. I would encourage you to revisit those for this new moon, because I think it's, it's a big deal.
[00:18:25] It's like, how do you want to be intentional? For these big cycles coming up. And so before I dive into Rahini and getting a little more granular with that, I'll just recap. Um, The Jupiter and Uranus things, because maybe it's helpful, but I would encourage you to revisit them if you. Would like to go deeper with that revisit those podcast episodes. And so Jupiter. Is in a word expansion.
[00:18:58] Right? And so what we've been exploring in our you scopes flow practices related to that, which those are on Wednesdays. If you go to Yogi scopes.com/. Classes, you can sign up for a drop into one of those and get the recording in. And if you can't make it live, um, It's sliding scale, starting at five bucks.
[00:19:15] That's pretty cheap. So, um, Uh, anyway, we. We've been exploring the idea of spacious. Grounded-ness can you. Um,
[00:19:30] Expand from a grounded. Place right. And can you. Um,
[00:19:39] Cause grounded. So groundedness without the spaciousness can be stagnant. Right. And expansion without the grounded-ness can be. Um, Well, I'm grounded, right? So can you expand in a grounded way and revisit the Jupiter and tourist episode, if you want to, uh, dive a little deeper with that, understand it a little bit better.
[00:20:03] Remember if you've already listened to it. And then Uranus. In Taurus. Is innovation is sudden change. And so can you.
[00:20:17] Innovate. In a practical way, instead of like changing things just to change them or be in the that's like an Aquarius vibe, like being different, just to be different. Right. Uranus and Taurus is like, While things are deeply not working and we need to change things in a big way to make them more practical.
[00:20:36] Right. And so that's the vibe. And so maybe you're considering that at this new moon, like in a longterm sense, Uh, what feels like it needs that overhaul in your life, um, to make your life more practical and more grounded. Right? And so hopefully the journal prompts will help with that. We've been exploring this, you know, for a month now, since Jupiter moved to tourists. And this. New moon is really like the, the time to set your intentions, to be really intentional around how you want to harness those longer term cycles. Related to tourists.
[00:21:11] So hopefully that's clear. Now let's talk about Rahini. The knock shot Dre. So Ronnie Rahini is entirely within tourists. And so I just want to point something out. The moon is exalted in Taurus, which. Exalted, if you're new to that term, it basically just means it's like a really good placement for that planet. Because the qualities mesh well because Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus. It has these like sort of feminine. Qualities the, these luxurious. Receptive, um, feminine qualities, whereas the moon is, um, it's like the emotions.
[00:21:54] And so those things just kind of mesh well together. If that makes sense, like. Being emotional, being luxurious, um, being in, in touch with feeling and that's what like sensuality is, right? Like sensuality and feelings. Those things are. Separate and we could get nuanced about them, but they mesh well together.
[00:22:18] If that makes sense. And so that's usually the case. For any planet that's exalted in a sign. And so the moon is exalted in tourists. And Rohani the knock Shastra is ruled by the moon. And in the is always a good time to explain the mythology of Therese and like what they are, what they mean. There's a blog about it on the Yogi scopes website.
[00:22:44] If you go to Yogi scopes and click on articles, you can find one that says, um, As an explains this in more detail, if you're more of a visual, like reading type learner. Um, but the idea is. Uh, Chandra. The. Moon. Did God right. Um, Had. Married all of the lunar mansion. So there's like there's mythology behind it.
[00:23:14] I explained it better there. Um, Basically the 27 knocks yatras. As are his Chandra, the moon 27 wives. And.
[00:23:26] It is said that, so he goes around and he visits all 27 of them and he just cycles around, which is like, Funny to me as a married woman. Anyway. Um, so, so Tundra goes around and visits all of his wives, which from the culture where this came from, that was like really normal that, you know, Kings deities gods would have like. A bunch of wives, whatever, but it is always said that Rowe Heaney was Chandra's first. And favorite wife and he spends a little bit longer with her. Uh, then the rest of his wives, because she's his favorite.
[00:24:05] And so. There's more to that, right? There's more to the story, but if you're new to knock ShotTracker is basically. They're lunar mansions. That's what you could, I guess, translate knocks chapter two, but, um, They're like signs but smaller. So they're divisions of the sky. And there there's 27 of them, whereas there's 12 signs.
[00:24:31] So assign is 30 degrees. Uh, because 12 times 30 makes 360 degrees around the earth. For the knock Shasha. Is there like 13 degrees in some change because there's 27 of them. And. Um, so sometimes more than one fits in a sign, sometimes they're entirely within a sign. Rahini is entirely within tourists. And what I've noticed. Is that the ones that are entirely within assign tend to be. They're meaning is sort of related to like one little part of that sign. Right.
[00:25:10] If that makes sense. So Taurus, as I was explaining earlier is, um,
[00:25:18] It's earth. So this earthy, if you think of like a garden vibe like this. This earthy opulence, right? That's Rahini so Rahini is, um,
[00:25:31] It's ruling deity is Brahma the creator. So you may know that in India, in Hindu philosophy, there's like, sort of like this idea of a Trinity to where there's. Um, There's creation energy. They're sustaining energy and there's destructive energy. Um, well, this one is related to creation energy.
[00:25:58] And so have you consider that creation energy? Within Taurus. It's like, what do you want to grow? Within your life. And then also there is. A little bit of a connection because one of the other translations of Rahini is growing one. So. You could think of growing as in a garden or growing as in like growing a baby, I don't know, whatever, like what are you growing?
[00:26:27] What are you creating? At this new moon. And. So considering all the things we sort of talked about, let's talk about like the overall energies, just a little recap of the vibe of this new moon. Before we talk about yoga practices and journal prompts to best. Harness the energy. So. Finances because Taurus, Venus, like I was describing earlier, um,
[00:26:57] Can you set intentions around this new moon of. Financial growth, financial security feelings, having a feeling of security when it comes to your finances, which I recognize is. Challenging right now with the global economy and the landscape of that, that's an extra challenge. And so, as I was saying with. Uranus in Taurus. It brings sudden change typically out of necessity, like sudden changed just doesn't just like happen for no, I mean, yeah, it kind of does just happen for no reasons, but in a lot of cases, innovation, which is one of the things that Uranus is related to. Is, um, What do they say? Necessity is the mother of invention, right?
[00:27:50] Like, uh, we don't just like innovate stuff just to do it. It's usually because we're looking for a solution to a problem. And if there's. Financial problems right now. Can you innovate, especially considering this new moon, maybe what do you need to do? On a long haul kind of basis. To bring that financial stability in that financial growth. And then because of Venus, because of Rahini vibes, another overall energy of this new moon is sensuality and self care.
[00:28:24] So. Um, I could go on a soap box about this, and it's a little late in the episode to be doing that. But a lot of us talk about how we want to cultivate, loving our bodies. We want to love our bodies. We've been spending so long because of diet culture and whatever. Um, abusing our bodies or treating, working out like a punishment rather than something that we do. Out of love for ourselves or like eating, treating food as a punishment or a reward.
[00:28:53] Right. So maybe you examined some of those things. And one of the journal prompts will help with that. Um, but can And the yoga practices, in fact, but at this new moon, can you consider your relationship to sensuality and self care? And this is something I have to, especially like I have toddlers, I'm a mom like, um, For a long time, I've been giving so much of my energy to caring for them that I haven't had much time to care for myself. So maybe you relate to that. If you're a caretaker. Of others in any way that it kind of does zap your energy to take care of yourself. But.
[00:29:30] Can you. Love yourself. Without being loving towards yourself. So maybe that's something you consider at this new moon. Um, can you treat your body, like you would want maybe say a partner to treat your body or something like. Do you want them to say the things to you that you probably say to yourself in your head?
[00:29:54] Or do you want them to, um, Touch you lovingly speak to you lovingly. And can you do some of those things? To yourself. And I'll say more about it when I get to the other practices. 'cause one of them is related to that. Um, So then can you also.
[00:30:17] I consider at this. New moon. What your. Overall stability in your life and your, your inner sense of security despite what's going on around you. And so I'll say more about that in the yoga. Practices too. So without further ado, let's talk about it. Number one for yoga practices, I would say. Second chakra work because of the femininity of this sign because of the creation energy.
[00:30:43] And second chakra is very like. Creative, right? Like it's, if you were to grow a person, it's where you would grow a person. So. Like growing one, like Rahini, it's also so under. This philosophy and you can ascribe to this or not. I don't really care. I'm just going to explain to you the philosophy. The idea is that your second chakra? Is responsible for creativity and sensuality.
[00:31:10] It's also relation responsible for sexuality and like reproduction. And so, um, this is like the idea of brown Macharia. Is like constraining your energy. And so that's often interpreted as celibacy because some folks believe that. The energy there is finite. And if you give your second chakra, your sacral energy to, um, sex and to reproducing it zaps your creative energy.
[00:31:39] And like I was just saying, it kind of does like, um, Like I, while having kids. Felt like I didn't have as much creative energy for other things or for myself or sensuality. Right. And, and as they're kind of, um,
[00:31:58] Growing up into their own people. I'm finding I have more energy for sensuality and for caring for myself and for creativity.
[00:32:06] So maybe that's the case for you. Maybe you have kids, maybe you don't. Um, but do you ascribe to that belief? Do you believe that creativity. Energy is finite. Um, Related to sexual energy. Maybe you explore that in your yoga practice. Um, and then. Another yoga practice for this new moon is Bianca, which is iron Vedic oil massage.
[00:32:29] And so you can like go somewhere and get. Uh, Bianca treatments. Um, but I do it at home. And so the technique is. Long motion. So you can use any oil you can use. I want to say any oil, you probably don't want to use like motor oil or, uh, sorry, this is, oh, I don't know why I'm like this, but, um, so. Coconut oil is a solid one. Um, Refined. Sesame oil is try no Schick.
[00:33:03] So it's good for anybody. No matter your dosha. If you go to Bonnie and botanicals. You can get a dosha specific oil. They have a really good quiz where you can learn about your dosha. Um, and if that word means nothing to you right now, then don't worry about it. Um, But it could be something to explore. But. You can use either an like an toasted Sesame oil, coconut oil. Even, this is what I tell my yoga therapy clients sometimes is like, even if you just do this practice with lotion, I don't care like use what you have.
[00:33:41] Um, But the idea is lotion is kind of like designed to Robynne. Right. And oil is a little bit harder to rub in. So the idea of a Bianca. Is your like getting fluids moving. Um, it's kind of like lymph drainage massage. So sometimes if you go somewhere and get a Bianca treatments, They're going to be like, like it's not essential experience.
[00:34:07] I've heard that it hurts. I've actually never had it done. I've always just done it at home. And so you'll start at. Um, like your legs and you start with one leg and it's like long sweeping movements up the leg and circular motions around joints. And so you do that legs, you know, start with your feet actually long sweeping motions, circular motions around joints, up the leg.
[00:34:30] I do one leg and then the other leg, and then your circular motions around hips. And then I do arms next. Um, hands and arms. Circular motions around joints, long sweeping motions. And so when you're using an oil, you have to like rub the area more than one time because the oil doesn't just rub in. And so if you don't have an oil, I'm a huge proponent of like use lotion, right? Um, and then you get to your torso and it's circular motions towards the heart. Right. And especially, so maybe you've never had children. But especially, cause I have like this mom time, I've got like stretch marks and stuff. Um, I like to treat that as an act of self love. Like I love this mom tummy, right? Um, and so that's what I meant is like, can you make that a ritual of self care and of self-love this is, I think about it every single time. I do have Bianca because it's, um, It's like a whole process.
[00:35:31] Like it takes several minutes. And so if you're using an oil, you can do it before you get in the shower. If you're using a lotion, you can do it after you get in the shower. Um, Or bath or whatever. But the idea is like, Are you, because you also, like when you're rubbing with oil like that, you get like really intimate with your body and like, you have to pay attention to like, All the parts of your body, because you're going to touch all of it with the oil. Right.
[00:36:00] And. Can you while doing that soften some of your thoughts about your body, can you caress your body in a loving way? And I mean, this like. In a non-sexual way, like it could be sexual or whatever, like, but, um, Can you cultivate this? Sensual self care a beyond is a really good way to do that. I think of that every time I do a young guy, I think. Of the idea of. Um, 'cause I get that way too, where I like, maybe struggle with self-love or I'm like, I want to like, love my body more. Um, And it's like, well, what are you doing to show your body love?
[00:36:43] Right. And this Bianca is a really good. Ritual to show your body love. And that is perfect for new moon in tourists. It's very closely conjunct, Venus. Um, And I think it's a good thing to do anytime, but it would be a really good little new moon ritual for you. And then another one is face yoga. Um, I included that in our practices this week. You can find good resources. Online.
[00:37:08] And then another one is inner resource meditation. And so that's what I started off talking about. And so the whole vibe of. Taurus is stability. Right. And, um, so that could be related to finances. That could be like externally, but especially because the, I didn't mention this previously, but the aim of life, the purushartha. The aim of Rahini the knock shot.
[00:37:33] SRE is Moshe. And so. Um, which is like spiritual liberation. Uh, so. Can you feel liberated? Uh, can you feel the sense of stability in a spiritual sense? Not in a, like, I think you also need to have it in a. Tangible sense, but. As I was saying with, especially with Uranus and Taurus is like, if things are going awry, which they. Very well, could be. Um, in a physical safety and security and stability since. Are you able to feel still feel safe and secure within yourself?
[00:38:18] And so the Monday practice for Monday, Um, guided you through that. So if you want the recording. Hit me up and let me know. Um, Or if you want more resources on that. So. That's an IRS yoga nidra. I think they kind of like popularized if they didn't coin that idea of the inner resource. Um, but I find that there.
[00:38:42] Explanation or way of guiding folks to their inner resources relies heavily on memory.
[00:38:50] And I personally. Like, I don't really have a good memory for sensations. It's hard for me to remember how things feel. From like a long time ago. So a lot of times meditation's yoga nidra is, will be like, Uh, remember a time when you felt really happy and safe and secure, and like you could totally be yourself and then get granular with your memory of that. Time. And use that as something that you come back to when you're feeling. Um, you know, dysregulated or whatever. And so I would encourage you to try to cultivate. Feeling safe and secure. And then getting granular with it so that you can know how to come back to it in your body, not relying on a cognitive experience of it, which is what memory is. Right. Um, So the Monday practice will help you explore that if you want the recording. And so two, well, these journal prompts, so. Number one journal prompt.
[00:39:56] Where do you find stability in life? And does that relate to the house? That Taurus governance for you? It might, it might not. Um, and then number two, what does safety and security feel like to you? And this is where you get granular with feelings and sensations that let you know you're safe. Like. When you feel like you can let your guard down, be totally yourself. What, how do you know, like, what is going on within you?
[00:40:26] So I, this is why I would encourage you to worry less about like what situations you're in, because that's what I find there. Like what people are you around or places are you in where you feel that that's might be helpful? But then I would say take it a step further and say. Okay. But then when you do feel safe, not just where are you, what is your internal experience so that you can practice cultivating that? When you're not in those places or with those people. Right.
[00:40:54] And then number three, what money stories did you inherit from your family of origin? Do you need to innovate your approach to finances or to your beliefs around finances? And then repeat those same questions with your food stories. Do you believe that food is a reward or a punishment? Um, or, you know, Do you, what is your relationship with food and how did your family of origin or your upbringing? Influenced that. And then.
[00:41:25] I hope that this new moon helps you feel really. Uh, sensual with your own body. That's what I was kind of starting off with, like this embodied, talking about what it means to embody be embodied. And so hopefully at this new moon, you're able to feel embodied. You're able to feel, um, like you're not just ahead walking around, living from the neck up, like you are a. A full human, um, enjoying the experience in your body and reveling in it.
[00:41:57] And I hope you're able to cultivate luxury in little ways in your life. So. Until next time, please remember to keep your feet on the ground. You're heading the stars and stay in the light. Take care of friends.
