2024.10.09 jupiter retrograde in taurus
===
[00:00:00] Two weeks ago today, I started to record this episode. For Jupiter's retrograde in the sign of sidereal Taurus. And Jupiter is beginning its retrograde today as I'm recording it. And I was attempting to get the episode out. Early to you. Um, for those of you that don't know, I live in. The Asheville area. So we were deeply impacted by the recent hurricane Helene here.
[00:00:35] And so I'm not necessarily going to make this episode. A dissection of the astrology of what happened. With that hurricane. I'm not only going to talk about the hurricane, but it's certainly related. To Jupiter's retrograde in Taurus. And so. Um, it will come up in this episode for sure. And I'm also going, so I'm going to tell you about Jupiter's art for a grade and Torres and what to expect as well as journal prompts and yoga practices as always.
[00:01:06] Um, but I'll also talk about some other astrological concepts or. Uh, context because things are really heating up and we'll be, it'll be a ride for the next six months. I believe. Um, and here we are. So with that, I'd like to extend you a warm welcome to the Yogi scopes podcast. I'm your host rose Holbrook. I'm a Vedic, sidereal, astrologer, and. A yoga therapist.
[00:01:32] And so that's why I incorporate the journal prompts and yoga practices at the end of every episode, to make the astrology a little bit more tangible, a little bit more. Digestible in your body and in your life. In a practical way, because I really believe in that. Um, and so let me say it was hard for me to even press record on this episode because in a big way, um, You know, my life has been shaken up, but not as badly as maybe some other people around me.
[00:02:02] You'll notice I'm still in my regular home studio. Thankfully. Which was fine. And, um, also there's a part of me that feels like. This is a little bit frivolous talking about astrology. Um, and yoga, even the in-person yoga I offer here, I was considering putting a pause on that for a while and getting, you know, I've spent the last. A week and a half, really?
[00:02:29] Mostly just out in the community. Tending to my neighbors and friends, basic survival needs getting donations to different places where they need to go. Like I'm talking food and diapers and, um, gas for generators. Cause people are out of power, things like that. Basic survival needs, which seems really, um, in contrast to talking about something like astrology. And. So it was hard for me to press record.
[00:02:57] I was like, maybe there's more pressing things that I need to be doing, uh, right now. But. A long, the way I have heard from, you know, longtime listeners of this podcast, students, clients of mine, um, one who even told me that she moved out of Asheville area. Uh, recently very, very recently since before the storm, because of some of the things we were talking about. Astrologically. And so that's why this feels important.
[00:03:32] Um, even when folks. Around me have basic survival needs, uh, that need to be met. And. There are lots of hands on deck, beautifully helping with those. Basic survival needs. And with that, all of us people here need. Nervous system regulation and we need. Um, To process through emotionally what is going on for us.
[00:04:02] And so that is sort of at the heart of what I'm hoping to do with Yogi scopes, with, um, This work that I do. And an offer pairing Vedic astrology with yoga is the yoga piece is all about the embodiment and the nervous system regulation. And the astrology piece really helps us sort through our experiences in a big way.
[00:04:24] And so this. Jupiter retrograde that's beginning today. As I'm recording this. Um, episode Wednesday, October 9th, 2024. Is it's related to those themes that I was just talking about. Some things like getting back to basics of your basic survival. Resources, including food, including, um, you know, your stability and your financial resources.
[00:04:52] Um, and so we'll talk about it. We'll talk about all the astrological archetypes coming up for specifically the Jupiter retrograde and tourists. But there's also all kinds of other stuff going on contextually. So let's dive in first. I just want to say you can revisit the episode. There's a, there's an episode and a companion post.
[00:05:16] So for the fast past few weeks, like three weeks or so. Um, I haven't been putting out podcasts episodes. I did record one as a live on YouTube. Um, but I have been putting out the companion posts. And you can find those on my website. If you go to Yogi scopes.com. If you're on a mobile device, you click the little hamburger menu and you'll see weekly.
[00:05:37] Oh, you scrubs. So you'll click on that and that'll take you to all of them. And then, um, If you're on a, on a website, you'll have to click learning resources and like on a desktop. Um, it just shows up differently on mobile versus desktop. So anyway, you can find that and it's ironic. It's not funny. It's funny, ironic, right.
[00:05:59] That, um,
[00:06:02] In. April of this year, when I put out the episode for Jupiter and tourists, which I'd encourage you to revisit that. Episode and companion posts because it's going to be even more. In-depth if you want to explore this even more. Um, the Jupiter in Taurus piece specifically, it's going to be really in depth, a resource for that.
[00:06:25] But one of the major themes that I was talking about. In past times that Jupiter has been in Taurus. Is, um, Worst natural disasters we've ever seen. Right? Like I'm talking like biggest earthquake in history, biggest tsunami in history. Just like think of any natural disaster. And you'll see the headlines from past times. That Jupiter was in tourists.
[00:06:52] And this time also, Uh, That. And I included some dates in that companion post. You can see some, I included some historical context in that one of other times, Jupiter was in tourists and this theme was coming up of like worst natural disasters in history. And so we just had a really bad storm here. In the Asheville area. Um, worst. Worst flood on record.
[00:07:17] And so, by the way, I also looked up, everybody was comparing it to the 1916 flood in Asheville, which had surpassed by about four feet, which is a lot of water for four more feet of water. Um, Which was the past last worst flood. Ever for this area, right. In 1916 and that was happening. On an eclipse in Capricorn. And so this one happened. She just right smack in between the eclipses between, um, Pisces and Virgo.
[00:07:51] And so I'm going to, I had planned when I started trying to record this episode two weeks ago. Um, To talk about how that's related. So the eclipse season is related to this. Um, floods specifically that we had here. But I told you, I'm not going to just make it about that. Um, there are lots of other things going on and that's actually, interestingly, one of the themes too, I guess, of this, you know, Jupiter. Rusher grade, something that it's bringing up is how do we deal with when we, as individuals are going through something that feels so earth shattering.
[00:08:32] So life-changing, and there are plenty of other folks who are just going on with life as normal, right? Like that's weird, but that's not isolated to this. Event that, that, that comes up with a lot of different scenarios. We might find ourselves in where we are going through something that's that threatens our very like survival. And there are other people who are not experiencing that at all.
[00:09:02] Right. And it feels weird. Um, And so, especially in this day and age with like remote work, that's a big thing I've heard. For a lot of folks that live in this area and work remotely and their job is just like carrying on anyway. Um, Yeah, that's a big theme of this. Of Jupiter and tourists. This Jupiter retrograde will be bringing up in a bigger way. Um, security resources grounded-ness and when I say groundedness, What I really mean.
[00:09:31] You can think like very root chakra, very like. Um, your connection with the earth and mother earth and yes. And all that, but like your felt sense of safety. We've been exploring that actually in our in-person classes here. Um, Is how groundedness relates to your felt sense of safety. And so you might explore that maybe that's coming up for you, even if you are. You know, on the other side of the world.
[00:09:56] Cause I know we have some listeners in Australia and Canada and. Whatever these themes are probably coming up. And some way, and that's the. The bittersweet beauty is that. The astrology works, even when it sucks. Right. Um, So what I had started the episode with. Um, two weeks ago when I was trying to record.
[00:10:20] So let me just also tell you what happened. I, um, Started recording it. And I thought about like pulling a clip in from that recording. I only recorded like the first few minutes of it. Um, at the time, and then I ran out of time and. Had to go take a rental truck back. For my husband. And it was like, the storm was already coming on that Wednesday. Um, and we just barely got the rental DCIS.
[00:10:50] So. A week before that. Uh, we had some plan maintenance, an appointment to get something fixed on my husband's truck that we made the appointment like two weeks in advance. It was supposed to take a day. They get the truck and they're like, this is way worse than we thought. We're going to have to replace like the whole front end of the truck and it's my husband's work truck.
[00:11:10] And so he like needs it for his livelihood, for our stability as a family. Right. And, um, So they had to keep it for like a week and a half and that day. And so we had rented a truck for him to use for work in the meantime. And that day we were like hearing that the storm was coming and we were like, okay, we have got to get this rental truck back. And so I had to leave earlier than I intended to, to go take this rental truck back and get my husband's truck from the mechanic.
[00:11:43] Luckily it was ready. And that mechanic. Unfortunately got like completely flooded. So lucky for us. We got, um, His truck back in time and got the rental truck returned the day before the storm hit. And that was like the reason that I couldn't finish recording the episode. At the time. And the reason I tell you that is because it is also a good example of what is. Going on just a theme that I noticed with actually Uranus in Taurus.
[00:12:12] So Uranus moved to tourists around the same time. Jupiter did. Um, it was around me. I think it was June 1st and Jupiter move there in like may of this year. And so you're in a stays in tourists. For, or in assign in general for a full seven to eight years. And, you know, depending on retro grades and things. And so. I, I just have seen that, not just with myself and my husband's vehicle, but with like a lot of people. I don't know, I've had people coming to my yoga classes and they're like, oh, I had a flat tire and I got it fixed, but now it's flat again.
[00:12:47] Right. Or things like that. Um, just like random vehicle trouble. This is like worse than it should be or worse than you thought it was going to be. Um, in a similar, uh, A way that I just described with like the rental truck and the thing. And we were like that it was going to take a day and it took way longer than that.
[00:13:08] And. Anyway. Um, and, and the relationships specifically, because it's tourists too, um, like finances and your financial security and, and your ability to like keep resources flowing, um, is a theme that I have noticed. Related to Uranus and Taurus. And so that's just an aside. Like I was saying, I was going to bring up all these other little astrological related things that are happening. Uh, around this Jupiter. Retrograde.
[00:13:40] So that's one of them. Uranus is also there and that's the main theme I've noticed with that is a lot of vehicle trouble, and a lot of, um, Just disruption or, or things being, not what you thought they were. Right. Like we thought we were going to get the truck fixed in a day and it actually took a week and a half.
[00:13:59] And. Um, we almost, we would have lost the truck if we decided to go get it Thursday morning instead of, um, Wednesday night, last week. So, and it took us. Yeah. Anyway. So, so that's a good example. Of that. Theme right. And so that's your innocent tourist that matters because you're in a swole. Be there, moved there around the same time as Jupiter did.
[00:14:25] And your, this will be there until. I want to say like 20, 30, 2. 2031. And then I think it retrogrades back for just a little bit and moves finally away in like the beginning of 2032. I also did an episode about that. Specifically that you can find the companion post for on Yogi scopes.com spelled just like this podcast.
[00:14:45] So you can dive more into that specifically. If that interests you, you can go down that rabbit hole yourself. Um, And then another. Related. Thing to this retro grade. Is the fact that. Jupiter. Is going retrograde during eclipse season. So we're technically a week out from the second eclipse. It happened a week ago. Um, from today as I'm recording this, that's also the day that you better is going retrograde, but we still have one more week until the next. Full moon. Which officially marks the end of eclipse season.
[00:15:27] And.
[00:15:29] Where this eclipse season is happening is in Pisces and Virgo. And Pisces is ruled by Jupiter. So that already draws a connection to what's going on on one end of this eclipse season. And while Jupiter's in tourists, it's aspect. Sting K2. In Virgo. And so what Jupiter's doing is. Uh, just incredibly related to what's going on in this eclipse season in general.
[00:15:57] And so. Too at the risk of making this like really. Uh, in the weeds of all those particulars. I just want to bring that up. And I want to say that that's, I guess, part of why. This eclipse season is so. Transformative in terms of our. Resources. Our stability. That's why, so the word that has been coming up, at least for me.
[00:16:24] And so I say this, I give you the context of what I'm going through, not to like trauma dump on you or to, um, Make it about me, but. Because I want you to know where this is coming from and you can take what applies and leave the rest. But also, um, it's a good example. And you might be experiencing these themes, like the words that I'm bringing up a themes, you might be experiencing it in some way, even if. Um, you are not going through the exact same situation that I am.
[00:16:57] If that makes sense. Um, and so like, because maybe you're not anywhere near the Southeastern part of the U S and if you are in the Southeastern part of the U S likely this resonates because. Um, this hurricane season is. A big one and it's impacting more or less the whole Southeast, but if you're somewhere else. Um, you were like, whatever, maybe you're not like, whatever, I don't know.
[00:17:20] Maybe you're feeling impacted by it in some way, but. Um, the, the word that I was about to say before, giving that caveat. Was earth shattering or, um, Like the, the very foundation that is our stability and what makes us feel safe is shifting. Right now. And that has been true in a literal physical sense here in Western North Carolina.
[00:17:45] It has been, you know, Like there are roads, like very major. Roads like interstates as well as, you know, not major roads like country back roads. That are just no more like they're just washed away into a river and. Um, So there'll be fixed. After probably a long time. Uh, but also. It feels. Like the ground beneath us has shifted.
[00:18:14] And so even if it feels like it has right, literally. And so, um, maybe you're somewhere else and. Nothing like has physically moved. Necessarily, you might also be feeling that way, like the ground. Underneath you and your, your stable foundation. Might feel like it is shifting or has shifted. And that we can't fully know.
[00:18:40] Um, we w we may not collectively or individually experienced any clarity around. That until we're out of eclipse season, which is, um, next week. And I, you can revisit also I put out a whole eclipse season. Uh, podcasts and companion posts for like the overview of the entire. Eclipse season that you can also find in that same place on my website, I've been mentioning Yogi. He skips.com. And you click, um, Weekly Yogi scopes.
[00:19:11] And it will be under learning resources. If you're on a. A. Desktop. It'll just be under the regular hamburger menu in the top. Right? If you're on mobile device. And, um, Yeah, so. The other. Big thing other than eclipse season and this sort of like, uh, Stability. Shifting. Like portal that we've found ourselves in. Right. Um, is what Mars is doing. And. It's kind of complex.
[00:19:49] So I'll try not to be too in the weeds about it. Um, But first, I want to point out that Mars was in Taurus with Jupiter. Between July 12th. And. August 26th of this year. And the technique. So I, don't always like to talk about shadow periods of rusher grades for these more slower moving planets. But. Whatever, I'll throw it in there.
[00:20:19] Just don't let yourself get too worried about it. If you're like, what does that mean? Um,
[00:20:25] Began July 15th. So right after Mars also moved there and Torres. So you might consider if you have any prominent. Like things that came up during that time between July 12th and August 26th. Um, what was coming up for you? Uh, during that time. Just don't try to like. You'd confirmation bias. Don't try to look for something specific that might've been coming up for.
[00:20:51] You. But maybe you keep a journal. This is why I really encourage people to keep journals. Even if you don't do it every day. Um, If you can kind of look for themes of what you're experiencing, then kind of go back and. And crosscheck that with the transits and you can consider like those themes. Might be coming up a little bit extra. During this Jupiter retrograde, which, oh my gosh, 20 minutes into the episode.
[00:21:17] I haven't even given you the specific days. So Jupiter goes retrograde today. October 9th, it will be retrograde until February 4th, 2025. And it will be entirely in Taurus. The whole time. So these themes I've been taught co bringing up, um, As well as some of the other. Uh, related things like Uranus being in Taurus. Uh, where the eclipses are happening, all of that remains true for this entire time.
[00:21:45] Those things remain themes for this entire period, this entire retrograde period and the next eclipse season in March and early April. Of 2025. Uh, we'll just be. I hate to even say this, but like even more intense. Than. This one was because, uh, there's just even more going on around Pisces. At that time, which is ruled by Jupiter. If that makes sense. Um, so just to put it in a quick nutshell, but. Talking about Mars.
[00:22:21] The first thing coming up with Mars is that it was in Taurus with Jupiter and Uranus for that period of time that I mentioned July 12th to August 26. So if anything, prominent is coming up in your awareness that you were experiencing during that time. What was the kind of vibe of that time? Were there any special events?
[00:22:36] If nothing prominent is coming up in your awareness, don't worry about it. Don't try to force it something to be true. Just think about it. And if something feels like it resonates, just maybe meditate on that and carry it with you through. Um, this retrograde period. But. Importantly. Uh, another thing going on with Mars is on December 6th.
[00:22:59] So right here. Uh, kind of smack in the middle of this Jupiter retrograde Mars will go retrograde in cancer. And stay retrograde and, um, we'll actually retrograde back to Gemini, but stay retrograde until February 23rd. Um, so it's kind of coinciding in some ways with this Jupiter retrograde, I'm just adding to the intensity. But, um,
[00:23:25] What I want you to like, be aware of. Related to that is. On the day. Mars goes retrograde. In. Where it's debilitated in CA moon ruled cancer. Um, Jupiter will be in a moon ruled knock shot, tra. And so what that means is.
[00:23:54] Emotions are going to be running high, especially emotions around. Belief systems. Uh, resources. Um, Security in the sense of like the stability and financial security that I've been talking about, but also the felt sense of safety is going to be playing a role at that time in a big way. And Mars. Is a planet of strength.
[00:24:26] It is a planet of action is a planet of on the shadow side fighting. And so I mentioned this in the like 20, 24 outlook resources, I put out like a bunch of different episodes. Um, kind of, you know, things, resources. Uh, around December of 2023 in January. I'm 2024 looking at the prominent themes of this year.
[00:24:49] And that was like my biggest. Uh, I don't know. Thing that I was talking about at the time was like, Ooh, gosh, this retro grade. So the year started and ended on a Monday. Or started and we'll end on a Monday, which is ruled by the moon. Um, The eclipse seasons have to do with the moon, right? The moon is very cause they're new moons and full moons. Has to do with the moon. And, um, this Mars retrograde in moon ruled cancer, where Mars is debilitated. Uh, it just, and so the moon representing things like. You know, the mother. The your ability to feel. Safe within yourself.
[00:25:36] And so notice that these are like, Different but related. Concepts. Okay. So when I'm talking about tourists, I'm talking about like your financial resources, your like money and money out. And, uh, you're sort of like material security. And because Taurus is an earth sign and it's ruled by Venus. So that's why tourists kind of represents those things.
[00:26:04] And then in cancer, it is a water sign ruled by the moon. And so it's more related to your like emotional stability and your sense of home. And so those things can be. Related, but they can also be completely different because for example, there are people in my area who have completely lost their homes, their physical homes, and they're still able to cultivate a sense of. A felt sense of safety.
[00:26:36] Sometimes that's like within community or something else. Um, but there are other folks who did not lose their physical home. And are having a really hard time with things like survivor's guilt and, and not feeling like they have a sense of safety after this. So, no. That's what I mean is like they're they're related and they certainly impact each other. And I'm not saying one or the other situation is better or worse or valid or not valid.
[00:27:04] Um, what I'm saying is you might have something going on with one or both of those things. So your literal. Uh, physical stability in terms of resources and finances and material stability. And that's Taurus where Jupiter and Uranus. Right. R and R retrograding. And then Mars over there in cancer, we'll be bringing up, um, especially once this retrograde. Uh,
[00:27:34] That more emotional. Stability that, that, um, Yeah, if that makes sense. So, um, that's a major theme as we're heading into this end of the year. And. Um, then another, you know, Little piece adding fuel to this fire is. Um, Uranus is retrograde went retrograde right at the beginning of eclipse season. So September, I want to say like first or second, you can find it on that.
[00:28:06] Like it would be on the Uranus in Taurus. Uh, companion post. That I was talking about, but it would also be on the eclipse season, companion posts. There's a lot of information there. I just want y'all to be util utilizing those, um, Because it's one thing to hear it. You're probably listening to this while you're like doing other stuff, right.
[00:28:24] Like driving or doing chores or, um, whatever.
[00:28:29] And. If you want to revisit a written format of the things I'm saying, that's why I make those companion posts there now. And so, um, Uranus began its retrograde right at the beginning of the eclipse season. Jupiter's beginning its retrograde. Right here towards the end of eclipse season. They're both in tourists. Um, And Uranus will retrograde back to Mars ruled Aries. On. December 13th. And, um, that's right around that time that Mars. Who rules Aries. Which is just the connection.
[00:29:13] Like I'm not, I don't, if that is like blowing your mind with these astrological terms. I'm just saying that because that's what kind of draws these individ invisible webs kind of between all of these energies is, um, The planetary rulers of the signs where these things are happening. Draws a connection to whatever that planet's doing.
[00:29:35] Right. So. Hopefully, you kind of understand what your innocent tourists was bringing up and what maybe have been brought up since you're in this went retrograde and tourists. Um, And then Uranus will retrograde back to the sign before Torres, which is Aries, which is ruled by Mars. Um, so that's just drawing another connection. There. To what Mars is doing. And then. Tourists and Jupiter and Mars will. Experience their connection because of the moon. Because, uh, if that makes sense, like, I don't want to confuse you, but I always do want to try to be clear because. Uh, I don't know if folks tell me is how it's helpful. That's how my brain works.
[00:30:20] Like I want to know why. These things are true. And I find that other people do too. So if you want to go somewhere else and just hear like, This is, what's what it all means. That's fine. I like to explain. Why I'm saying the things that I'm saying. So hopefully it doesn't get you too in the weeds stick around.
[00:30:38] You'll kind of start to, it'll start to click after some time. Um, So, yeah, just to, to revisit all these other. Astrological context things happening. Uranus is involved because it's there in tourists with Jupiter right now. Um, just, and so you're in this represents things like. Um, Like unexpected events happening. Like kind of what I was bringing up with the truck is like, A bunch of, we were like, we're going to get this thing repaired because we diagnosed this problem.
[00:31:13] My husband's kind of mechanically inclined. Um, but he doesn't always have the special tools. And so he was like the here's the problem. We, it was unexpected that we were going to have to fix all this other stuff. Right. And, um, That's Uranus in Taurus. And then you can kind of look back at the last seven years. To think about what you're in is an Aries. Sort of represents, I don't want to go too far down that rabbit hole because also Uranus will only be back in Aries. During that time between December 13th. Um, Through March 18th, which is right smack in the middle of the next eclipse using in Pisces. Right.
[00:31:52] Um, And that'll be kind of like Pisces season, if you will. I think that's also around the time. Saturn moves. To Pisces. So we'll talk about that stuff more as we get closer, because it is kind of a lot to pull apart, right? Like it's like a big, um, Bound up ball of thread, and we're just kind of pulling out little threads to get more clarity, get the knot untied a little bit. More.
[00:32:19] And so it'll be. More will be revealed around that. As we get closer, but just know that all of these things that I'm bringing up are kind of the rollercoaster ride. We're going to find yourselves on for the next six months. Really. Um, To the peak and then it's not just over ever. That's not how things work.
[00:32:39] Um, It'll it'll be kind of another. It'll just be different after that. Right. Something else we'll be talking about by then. Um, so that's Uranus and then Mars is also very, very related because Mars was conjoined with Jupiter for a little bit, and we'll be retrograding. Uh, Co currently concurrently with. Jupiter's retrograde.
[00:33:05] So hopefully all that kind of made sense. It's also wrapped up in the overall energies. Which I'll say in a moment. Um, To kind of bring this all together and then all, you know, With the yoga practices and journal prompts that will hopefully help you, like make sense of it in a more practical way. So the, I guess astrology lecture that we start the episode with is more theoretical and you might be kind of nodding your head along with some of this stuff. Um, Some of the themes I may bring up, but how useful is that?
[00:33:40] Unless you then apply it to your life. And then that's what the yoga practices and. Journal prompts are for. So just to recap, Um, Jupiter will be retrograde from. Uh, what's today, October 9th, through February 4th, 2025. So October 9th, 2024. Through February 4th, 2025. It will be entirely in the sign of tourists, which hopefully, um, you're starting to kind of wrap your head around the archetypes that that's bringing up. Um, and so.
[00:34:17] It will change.
[00:34:20]
[00:34:20] throughout. So it will start in murder Shira, and then retrograde back. To Rahini and let's see, I was like, I know I put the dates in my notes and so that's on November 28th. When Jupiter will change.
[00:34:35]
[00:34:35] um, And so it will spend the rest of the time retrograding in. Rahini. And so I actually haven't said this yet. So murder, Shira. Is. Symbolized by a deer. And there is a whole story. Um, Around the meaning of murder Shira, but I'm not going to tell it at this point in the episode, because it would feel like a tangent.
[00:35:05] And so, um, Basically, if you think of a deer. Deer are a little bit. Skiddish, they kinda like prance through the woods and they, um,
[00:35:22] I don't know. It's like a restless energy, right from this. This dear archetype, a restless and a searching. Energy and related to that myth of what mercury. represents its so emergency are also bridges into Gemini a little bit. FYI, which brings some of that sort of like airy vibe of Gemini to the knock shot.
[00:35:45] Tra. And so Jupiter will be retrograding there from today, October 9th, through November 28th. And that just means. The vibe might be a little restless during that time, the vibe. Might feel like we're searching for answers that are. Uh, elusive during this time. And maybe also re-evaluating your values in a way that maybe feels a little curious a little bit open-minded a little bit like a ungrounded also. Um, So. Basically during this first portion of Jupiter's retrograde the that's the vibe, that's the overall energy of like, um, you might feel like you're really seeking during this time, especially. Um, related to like spiritual things, if that makes sense. Um, spiritual.
[00:36:40] What are your values? Uh, what does make you feel. Sort of grounded in that way. And so just use caution that you don't feel too scattered or too indecisive. The ANet antidote to that is, um, just getting back to basics. Like, what are the basics of your. Um, Values right. Really in a big way. And then when Jupiter, retrogrades back to Rahini on November 28th, where it will be. Retro grade through February 4th, when it goes direct. Um, Rahini is. Ruled by the moon and as symbolized by a cow. Um, which is.
[00:37:29] In this system considered a sign of like fertility and sort of nurturing and he like blessings in that way.
[00:37:40] And so that brings a more grounded energy, then Mirka Shira for sure. Um, and maybe even more central, more abundant, if you will, rather than feeling kind of ungrounded and searching, um, Rahini brings that more sensual. And abundant and maybe feminine also, um, energy. And so you might, during that time, B. Remember cause a retro grade.
[00:38:07] Wow. I didn't even say this yet in the episode. So maybe you don't remember. Maybe, you know, if you're newer to astrology, if you're not that new to astrology, you will remember this. Um, but if you're newer to astrology, retrogrades in general, call us to reassess things to reevaluate. To redo, to reorganize, to. You know that. R E prefix of a retro grade is like, Think of anything you can with an Ari prefix and that's probably coming up related to these energies. So, um, That's when I say, you know, The Taurus is related to your financial matters, your material stability, um, maybe also your, your family, your early family life, your upbringing, and especially how that impacted your financial. Uh, situation now, especially maybe your beliefs around money, around finances, around material, success and stability.
[00:39:02] Um, I'm going to go ahead and go on this aside because it feels important just as an example. Um,
[00:39:11] We have some friends who. Uh, maybe a little bit more materially. Successful, but that means they also lost a lot in this recent flood and people have been helping them clean up and, and, um, And fix the damage. And there other people that are like mad about that, they're mad that these people had more resources to start with.
[00:39:37] And then. That must mean that they don't need help because there might be more pressing issues elsewhere. And so that's just a, an example to show like, you know, maybe these people did come from generational wealth and that's why they have more. Resources in that way. Um, but that influences their beliefs around finances and stuff.
[00:40:00] Because if people that come from generational wealth versus people who don't right, who might have a completely different set of beliefs around assets and finances, And so that's an extreme example. But you might examine how that's coming up. In your life, like, are you one of the people that believes that. You deserve. Or that anybody deserves material wealth and success, or, um, you know, w how do you conceptualize that?
[00:40:28] Because it is completely different people that come from generational wealth just think about money completely differently than people who don't. And so that's what we're talking about. That generational wealth that's very Taurus. Right. And what is your family and upbringing? How did that impact your. Um, beliefs. Around these things.
[00:40:48] And so while Jupiter is retrograde in Merga Shira, Shira, you might be. Uh, searching. Or feeling like you're searching for what your beliefs are. Around that. And, um, And once Jupiter retrogrades back to Rahini you might kind of reassess. How you. Nurture your material and emotional needs. So first consider your beliefs and then consider what you're doing about it.
[00:41:15] Right? When Jupiter retrogrades back to Rahini. Um, and so. I also want to point out. That this just feels really, um,
[00:41:28] Uh, highlighted for us here in this area now. Um, just how important, like the simple things are like running water. And power and fresh food. And that kind of stuff. And so that is a big theme of especially. Um, Jupiter's retrograde through. Rahini is finding comfort in those things. The simple things. Um, Yeah.
[00:41:56] And I'll just leave it at that because it might be coming up for you too for like varying degrees of how that's coming up for you. Um, But, yeah, so that's, that's the different vibes with the different Uh, that will bring a subtle difference. So let's just recap. Of the overall energies of. Jupiter's retrograde through tourists.
[00:42:16] So the, the different arc shocker is, and those dates I mentioned, we'll change it subtly, but it's still overall. Related to your sort of beliefs around money. You're super duper, basic material resources. I'm talking things like running water and power and, uh, food. Right. And also your beliefs around those things.
[00:42:41] Like, are you the kind of person that I don't He believes that we should all be doomsday preppers. Are you the kind of person that believes we should all, um, like work together for these things? Are you the kind of person that believes we should. Uh, be self-sufficient or should we be more community-based like you might be considering those things. Now. Um, and you might also. So the vibe of this eclipse season in general, because of that Pisces and Virgo access. Is it related to material? World. Uh, Virgo and like your day-to-day actions and health physical health, especially versus the more like subconscious, like spiritual world. Of Pisces.
[00:43:27] And so we've seen that to be true here that like when people's material world is threatened, they often turn to spirituality. Um, Right. Usually. And I did. Yeah. I hate to be, like I told you. So, because that's what was about to come out of my mouth sounded like, um, and I recognize that, but that's kind of when I was. Talking about. A year ago when Pisces are raw, who is getting ready to move to Pisces, which is the reason for these eclipses on Pisces and Virgo, I was like, You know, Uh, The shit's going to hit the fan.
[00:44:04] And that's what makes people turn to spirituality. People don't really turn to spirituality because everything's fine. That's when people are like, not really worried about it as much, right. And. Yeah. So those two things are two sides of the same coin that like your physical health, your, um, material success. Your habits.
[00:44:26] That's very Virgo. Uh, along with, you know, your subconscious and your beliefs, right? So that's coming up because of this Pisces. Virgo access where the eclipses are as well as what Jupiter is doing and tourists, because it's aspect ING, Virgo, where one of the eclipses was, and, uh, Rules Pisces where the other one, if that makes sense.
[00:44:47] And so, um, Another thing coming up. With. Jupiter and tourists is stubbornness around beliefs. And so that's what I'm kind of worried about, I guess. Uh, when Mars retrogrades in cancer at the end of the year, when Jupiter will be retrograding in. Taurus, which is bringing this stubbornness. Jupiter is sort of representing our spiritual beliefs and our, you know, wisdom. Right. Um, and, and tourists is bringing stubbornness around that and then Mars, this planet of action and potentially, you know, Mars is a warrior potentially fighting, um, goes retrograde in. Watery emotional. Very concerned with our, our felt sense of stability, our felt sense of safety and security within ourselves.
[00:45:42] It's sort of that sense of home. You know, it's like some people. Move around a lot. And they feel like home is within themselves. Or some people have, you know, just people have different concepts of what home means. When I say home, what does that mean to you? That's very cancer. And so you're like emotional sense of home. Um, do you feel a connection with that?
[00:46:01] Do you feel like it's been ripped away from you? Like, whatever. Um, we'll talk about that more when around Mars and when Mars does go retrograde, but. If people are feeling threatened. To there. Felt sense of safety, whether their material safety is actually threatened or not. And maybe especially if it is. That might cause some stubbornness and some fighting.
[00:46:22] And we've certainly seen that recently and we will continue. To see that heat up. As we move towards December. And that's, hopefully I've done a good job. I've explaining that. So that's kind of the overall vibes. This is a.
[00:46:38] Um, Good time for. Considering considering like your financial setup and slowing down and reflecting on it and reexamining your material. Um, Set up your finances, right? That's um, And I want to point out an archetype. Uh, that is being brought up here. Is Jupiter. Is. Do you burn tourists is concerned more with stability.
[00:47:09] Mars over there is, is considered concerned with strength. And so I want you to see those two things also as separate strength versus stability. So this is like a dumb example, but, um, I'm like super country all. If y'all didn't know this about me, Um, And so, like I was talking about my, my husband, like, does these blue collar. He drives a work truck. Um, like whatever he used to have a diesel truck.
[00:47:37] And this is the reason that I know this. Um, and because he howls around like, you know, pallets of tile, which are very heavy and heavy stuff, he'd test to get places right. And, uh, to job sites to put them in houses. And anyway, Diesels are extremely strong. And versus other things that might be faster.
[00:48:00] Um, If that makes sense. I can't think of a better example than that is like, Uh, like vehicles, sometimes they are. Extremely powerful, but they're usually slow. Right. Like they can, they can move heavier stuff. That's why, um, 18 wheelers are diesels. Um, but they don't, they're not as like punchy. And so Mars is like the punchy fast one that is. Maybe more blank, brute force strong, but so Jupiter is more concerned with. And then Jupiter and tourists, I should say tourists. Is more concerned with that stability rather than just like brute force strength and more.
[00:48:40] And so both things are being brought up, but especially in terms of finances, we're talking about like, what is bringing you stability? Not like brute force strength. So, and so maybe that's like, um, get rich, quick schemes. Versus, um, I don't know, it could be something like cryptocurrency versus like a 401k.
[00:48:59] If that makes sense, like get rich quick schemes and maybe like day trading or whatever, that might seem like a. Um, something to get you money fast. Like more money fast. Whereas things like. Uh, investing and, um, real estate is a really good example. Of like, it's not liquid money. It's not fast at all, but it is stable. Right.
[00:49:25] And resources really being brought up in a big way. With this. So you might consider that in a very practical sense in your life, like your financial, financial planning, and just reassessing that, um, And reconnecting with nature. Um, in engaging in sensory pleasures that connect you to the earth is a great way to work with this. Um, Jupiter in Taurus. Energy.
[00:49:51] And then also revisit your spiritual practices because Jupiter is all about like our spirituality. Jupiter is the guru after all, like where do we seek wisdom? And so, especially while Jupiter is retrograding through murder Shira. You might, um, Try to ground yourself into spiritual practices that feel grounding.
[00:50:10] Right? Like, and so that was kind of going to why I was. Like, do I consider, continue to offer yoga when it feels like people might need other stuff more than this? But yoga can be incredibly grounding. It's a, it's a pretty solid, consistent. Ancient practice. Um, that can be a good way to ground ourselves. In times like this and thinking about, is it a good time for thinking about slow, steady progress, sustainable growth, right.
[00:50:40] And it's a bad time for those, like get rich quick. Get rich, quick schemes or overindulgence or like feeling, uh, like extra spending. Try not to be extra spending during this time. Right. Which you know, that like, Tracks with inflation and stuff. Right. Um, it's making people kind of like real tighter in, on their finances. Um, and just an aside, I did have something in my notes.
[00:51:08] Uh, two weeks ago when I started recording this episode. That, um, The fed had just done their first rate cut, which was meant to curb inflation and to bring more stability. Right. And that just felt really related to this upcoming Jupiter retrograde. Um, and there, there may be expected to make more. Rate cuts. Right.
[00:51:30] And so that's related to try to bring sustainable, steady, like make people feel more secure in their finances. Um, rather than like runaway inflation, which is the other side of the coin. Um, and so just, it's also a bad time for being really rigid about your beliefs or being stubborn. Just watch out for that.
[00:51:51] Watch out for that in yourself. Watch out for it in others. So here are your yoga practices and journal prompts. Um, I would urge you to revisit. Uh, the journal prompts for that original Jupiter in Taurus. Episode, because if you haven't done it or maybe you did do it, it's a really good time to re-do it remember?
[00:52:15] Cause retrogrades are E um, it was related to considering what your values are. So, especially during this time, Uh, while Jupiter's retrograding in Merga Shira, like I was saying, you might feel like you're kind of seeking around that. Um, just grounding yourself in that way. With that journaling exercise will probably help.
[00:52:33] Even if you did it before, maybe you revisit it right. Or if you didn't definitely do it now. And you can find that on Yogi scopes.com and clicking weekly Yogi scripts and finding the Jupiter. In tourist one, it's probably on the second page by now. Um, and so slow and mindful yoga. Uh, Especially, if you can think of. I don't know, just slow flow. Low to the ground, maybe repetitive movements, things that emphasize staying present. Connecting to your base.
[00:53:03] Um, so. Mountain pose, connecting to your feet. Uh, warrior two seems to feel a little bit more grounding. To me at least, I dunno to try it in your body. Maybe restorative yoga seems to be good for this whole year. Um, and that nervous system regulation. And then heart opening poses, especially, uh, When we move into the section, when Mars is. Uh, the Mars retrogrades happening to a heart opening, keeping your heart. Uh, Um, What's the word I'm looking for?
[00:53:39] Like, Keep that heart chakra free of blockages. If you will. Um, and so journal prompts definitely revisit the ones, the values exercise from that original Jupiter in Taurus podcast, episode and companion posts. But then. First journal prompt for the retrograde. Consider the gap between where you are and where you want to be. So Pisces is all about the vision.
[00:54:03] So we're right in this Pisces Virgo. Um, Eclipse season. So that's the, where you want to be is like, what's your big vision and Virgo wants you to like, bring it down to earth. And so. Um, Jupiter in Taurus is concerned with like these practical matters as well. And especially the more like, um, maybe financial ways that you're going to bring that vision into reality.
[00:54:29] And Virgo is like the reality of like what you're doing on a daily basis to do that. And Pisces is more like your ideals. So that's really coming up in a big way right now. And so the specific prompt is like, maybe you just, just journal on that. Like what, what's the gap, but then can you write down a gratitude list? For ways that you're already living into your vision and during this retrograde kind of double down on those things, those things that are already working that are, um, Like where, where do you already feel successful and kind of double down on that during this retrograde and then. Number two.
[00:55:04] What stories around money spending, saving, or having money did you get from your family of origin? And are there any beliefs that are affecting your behaviors that you would like to reevaluate? And so that was a lot. Thanks for sticking with me. If you've listened to this far into the episode. And I will have the companion posts out for this, a PSAP and. Remember to keep your feet on the ground.
[00:55:34] You're heading the stars and stay in the light until next time. Take great care of yourself.
