A Vedic Astrology take on the Lion's Gate Portal (August 8)

Happy Lion's Gate! 🦁 (08.08!)

Wait... 🧐 I know what you're thinking -

"But ROSE, isn't that a WESTERN astrology concept??"

Yes, yes it is. Thank you for noticing.

But these two systems have been influencing each other for thousands of years (since the start, tbh), so why stop now??

Anyway - that alone isn't really enough of a reason FOR ME PERSONALLY to incorporate the idea of the Lion's Gate into my spiritual practice

I'll admit, as this idea has gained popularity over the past couple years, it's been a little eye-roll-y for me 🙄 I mean, I just haven't felt connected to it

That is - until this year!

So what's different about this year?

It's an 8 year (2+0+2+4=8), which is a saturn 🪐  year!

And that's according to numerology, which IS widely accepted as a vedic astrology concept (and western astrologers often use numerology too--see what I mean about the two systems influencing each other?)

So on 8.8.8 (if you're using numerology 2024=8, remember?) it tracks that it would be a potent opportunity to connect to saturn, and be like a little 🔄reset button🔴 for getting on track / manifesting / all that goodness

But wait...what does saturn represent again? How should you be "connecting with saturn" in real life??

I talked about it briefly on the podcast episode that released today (I'll send the newsletter about that tomorrow!), and more to come when I cover the Full Moon in Aquarius, which is where saturn is retrograding right now!

But in short, its all about connecting to your habits, discipline, and, while Saturn is retrograding in Aquarius, particularly considering/adjusting how your habits are getting you towards your long term goals

So today makes an excellent "portal" if you will -- a great day for a fresh start, especially in regards to daily actions that might carry you towards your long-term goals
